US farmers use the following as main criteria for the selection of candidates:

• Experience in operating tractors with GPS self-steer (Auto-trac)
• Driving trucks with mechanical Eaton Fuller gearbox (18 wheelers – gearbox 9, 10, 18)
• Welding
• Mechanical skills and experience in maintaining and repairing equipment
• A good, contactable reference from current and/or former employer in Farming Sector
